Second Chance Shawl is a triangle shawl designed to be knit with a leftover 25 (or 24 depending on the set) mini-skein fingering-weight set or scraps from other projects. It also can be knit with 12 full mini skeins (each color used twice) or one MC and one CC. Sometimes mini skein sets are a mystery to the knitter, which can be fun – or not. Second Chance Shawl gives those who prefer control (like myself) or anyone who simply wants to use their set one more time, another chance to use those minis! Choose a main color to complement or contrast your left-overs and re-organize your set into a completely new order or simply make some tweaks to their intended order, this time it’s totally up to you!

This is the perfect project to help you ease into the new year after the holiday season or use it as a countdown to any holiday or event!
I love everything about mini sets, dyers put months of hard work into these well curated bundles of squish. Knitters get to enjoy sometimes up to 25 different colorways, like a tasting flight of yarn. Second Chance Shawl is one more opportunity to play with these little bundles of happiness!
When purchasing the Second Chance Shawl pattern, not only do you receive the Second Chance Shawl pattern with both sizes – you also receive a full 20g mini version, First Chance Shawl.
A prequal to Second Chance Shawl, First Chance Shawl is a triangle shawl designed to be knit with a 25 (or 24 depending on the set) mini-skein fingering-weight set or scraps from other projects that amount to 20g each. Choose a main color to complement or contrast your minis to be used as the eyelet section borders.
My love of mini sets was poured into every stitch of the Second Chance Shawl pattern – and again with the First Chance Shawl!
Second Chance Shawl can be found on both Ravelry and Etsy
I will be knitting First Chance Shawl this advent season with my Hookers Corner Yarn advent set – knit along with me using tags #firstchanceshawl and #secondchanceshawl

This is beautiful! I especially like the one with dark colors. This is on my list of accessories to knit. Thanks for sharing! 🧶
